Please do not place your bouquet in a freezer or a refrigerator that has ever frozen vegetables. It is better to leave in the coolest room in the house while providing the bouquet with a water source. Call us if you have any questions.
A non-refundable deposit of $85.00 ($91.57 with tax) per bouquet and single boutonniere, is required to reserve your space in the freeze-dry process.
If individual flowers are brought in to be freeze-dried there is a processing fee of $5.00 per flower. Corsages are left intact and processed for $10.00 each.
Bouquets will be disassembled during the freeze-dry process to maintain quality care to each individual flower.
The cost of preserving a bridal bouquet is $150.00, should you choose to have your Freeze Dried Flowers returned to you loose your deposit is subtracted from this amount and you will pay the remaining balance. If you prefer not to have your Freeze Dried Flowers designed in one of Fred's Keepsake Displays but wish to have your loose preserved flowers reassembled smiliar to the original bouquet there is an additional design fee of $50.00 applied to the total cost; should you require replacement flowers for those which were damaged there will be additional cost on a per flower bases. All of the above fees are included in the total cost of a Fred's Heirloom Keepsake, including a bonus of free replacement of 30% of any damaged flowers. As always your deposit is subtracted from the total cost of the keepsake.
If you choose to have your bouquet placed in a keepsake display your $85.00 depost is subtracted from the total cost of the display.
Your bouquet may need to be resized (made smaller) according to the requirements of the display you choose, certain flowers may fade slightly and require color enhancement.
The freeze-drying process can take 4-8 weeks to complete. We will contact you to schedule and appointment as soon as the preservation of your flowers are complete. At this appointment displays will be chosen and memorabilia to be incorporated must be brought into the shop.
At this appointment cost for the finished keepsake will be required. Please allow 4-6 weeks from the date of the appointment for completion of you memento.
We carry a large inventory of frames, Hexagons, domes, and displays; however we do not stock all items. Products which must be specifically ordered may extend completion time beyond the norm. Our designers will complete your keepsake shortly after we receive the display. If you need a finished product completed by a certain date (i.e. Birthday, Anniversary, Christmas) please allow adequate time for completion.
Fred’s utilizes cutting edge equipment and polymer Pre and Post treatments to provide shatter and water resistance, durability, antioxidants, color setting agents and ultra-violet inhibitors. We continually stay current to the latest technology so that we can provide you with the highest quality in the freeze-drying process; our designer staff has a combined repertoire of over 50 years. Plus we carry a large supply of replacement flowers such as gardenias, stephanotis, orchids, lily of the valley, and roses which we will utilize to replace up to 30% of flowers that may have been damaged in your bouquet prior to our receiving them. This is a free service which we provide at your request.
The freeze-drying process removes all moisture from you flowers. This causes the flower to shrink slightly in size. Expect some minor color changes during the freeze-drying process; reds may darken, peaches will turn towards pink shades, some whites will turn ivory, certain pinks will darken or turns towards a lavender shade, the reds in stargazer lilies will turn towards the purple shades, stephanotis will turn peach, and greens will lighten. Over time flowers will take on a softer antique look. Most flowers dry beautifully, however daisies, certain chrysanthemums & bouvardia do not.
All photos taken by Fred’s before or after the completion of your freeze-dry flowers and or keepsake display will remain the property of Fred’s Flowers & Gifts for the use of any form advertising we choose.
Upon completion of your arrangement or keepsake, we will contact you to pick it up. Please do so within four weeks, a storage fee of ten dollars per week will be applied after that time. Flowers or keepsakes left in the possession of Fred’s Flowers and Gifts three months after the completion date will be considered abandoned and will become the property of Fred’s Flowers & Gifts and the deposit or any pre paid monies will be forfeited.
Workmanship and materials are guaranteed for 90 days from the time of pickup, shipping damages must be reported in 24 hours; because of the delicacy of dried flowers Fred's is not responsible for dropped florets or petals. If you are dissatisfied with our workmanship, we will correct the problem, but no refund will be given. Fred's is not responsible for damages caused by mishandling or improper care. Through consultation Fred’s Staff will seek to fulfill your spoken desires for the placement of memorabilia and the floral arrangement in the display, should you desire changes due to personal taste once your project is completed there will be a prepaid non-refundable fee of $75.00 to redo your keepsake.To preserve the look of your flowers after you receive them, avoid sun, humidity, and never allow them to get wet. If proper care is taken of your flowers they should retain their look for years, Nevertheless no guarantees will be made as to the shelf life.
